The Investigation
20.30 – 21.00 Meet and Greet
21.45 Tour
During the tour, someone reports seeing a figure in the doorway whilst
we were all inside the Grand Magazine, this was also witnessed
independently and reported by other investigators.
22.21 A light is seen move across the floor, further
investigation reveals no light source or shadows. This was independently
reported by other groups too.
It is also noted that the offices seem much colder inside than outside,
especially when you pass over the threshold into the building itself.
23.00 Someone’s torch kept going out for no apparent reason
whilst in the Big Guns Room.
Team Fear report lights in the Grand Magazine
23.15 Heather and Gill report a series of bangs and clicks whilst
in Building 309.
23.25 Someone reports a cold breeze across their hands for a few
seconds whilst outside the Grand Magazine.
23.40 In the Offices Heather felt something brush across her
face.
23.50 Team Fear capture numerous orbs on camera, Laura had her
hair touched and could feel the presence of a man. She also felt an
overwhelming sadness. The presence came and went, Laura felt like he was
sad due to the loss of a loved one.
00.00 Tarnia does Psychometry on a Canadian coin that Angela
gives her. Jess feels something brush past her. Angela’s camera won’t
work for any reason. Angela, Shona, Jess and Sue are all feeling very
cold and can hear tapping noises. Jess is swaying while standing still
but feels fine.
Sue feels like someone is stood behind her. On leaving, they heard a
bang on what sounded like an empty container.
Torpedo room. Ben Chris, Treana, Ade, Dave and Jenny. Ben gets
interference on his camcorder and Ade’s batteries go flat.
Ian takes a photo and gets a big orb right in the centre of the walkway.
Vigils
00.05 Lizzie picked a room in the offices that she was drawn to.
She senses someone that wanders the corridors. Did a séance and a
conversation could be heard, talking, other investigators positions
accounted for.
Lizzie sees a strange light in the big room at the end of the corridor,
I see movement too. A groan is also heard whilst photos are taken and I
get orbs in the vicinity where the movement was.
Liz can sense a man that walks around up here.
00.07 Chris catches a light anomaly moving away from him on his
night vision camera.
00.15 Grand Magazine. It is reported to be very cold by the Red
wheel; Tarnia suspect’s more than one person is present.
00.25 Tarnia does Pyschometry on the fire truck pulling thingy-
results not reported.
Rose is touched on the leg.
The group called out and got a few tapping sounds; a sigh was also heard
on a couple of occasions by independent people. All investigators
whereabouts accounted for. Everyone felt cold from the Knees down and a
drop in temperature was recorded by 1-2◦c.
Chris and group head to Room 309 and as they enter they get movement,
they think it may be caught on camera. Footsteps are heard by Ian, Ben
and Chris. All investigators whereabouts are accounted for.
00.45 In the Grand Magazine, I got various different orbs on
digital camera during Dave and Jenny’s Ouija Board. (Photos at some
point will be posted on the website)
Team Fear are in the Sub Room. Trish felt something touch her and Laura
heard a knocking noise close to her. Trish felt sick and had a headache
and then this changed to light-headed and warm. Laura got a bad overall
feeling about this room and feels like they need to move on. As they
leave, they can hear children and more knocking.
00.50 Terry heard a groaning noise coming from the end of the
room (Grand Magazine)
01.00 (Really 2am as the clocks went forward) Upstairs in the
office block, Becky reports that Tarnia picked up on a woman in a long
Victorian dress carrying files. She is not grounded here. Some banging
is heard but hard to tell where the noise is coming from, all other
investigators whereabouts are accounted for.
Temperature fluctuations are also reported in the same area especially
when Tarnia said she could feel someone stood behind her.
Temperature went up to 12.5◦c whilst area around her stayed at 6.2◦c.
Investigated for another heat source but none found.
02.10 Angela and co. are in the Sea Magazine, lots of orbs on
camera. Shona feels something brush across her face, Angela feels sick.
02.30 Team Fear do Ouija Board. Voices and banging can be heard
03.00 Ian set up a digital Camera recording continuously in the
reception area and got some good orbs, lots of dust but also some good
orbs.
03.30 A very successful Ouija Board was held in the Offices.

03.45 approx Angela and co are in the Museum. They could hear a
screeching sound like metal on metal. Shona and Jess sense a temperature
drop but then it moves away. Sue and Angela hear a noise and take a
photo and get an orb.
Shona Jess and Sue hear what sounds like an explosion.
Whilst in the Mine Room They heard moaning, beeping and the sound of
something being moved.
04.00 In the Sea Magazine, Tarnia calls out and feels someone
touch her hand and then stroke her neck.
On the night vision camera Ian gets an orb moving across and down the
front of Tarnia. Laura also feels someone touch her neck.
04.05 A large orb was seen, unclear if this was with a night
vision camera but Liz and Tarnia both saw a large movement.
Tarnia moves about but still feel someone stroking her back.
04.20 Tarnia is pushed in the back, Lyn stands next to her but
nothing happens.
04.40 Team Fear is the only group left investigating as we are
all leaving. They are sat in the offices and hear various different
bangs that get closer and closer to them and then David screams and they
scare themselves stupid!! Laura feels sick; none of them want to return!
Conclusion
An excellent nights investigating. We had an excellent team that helped
us cover all the areas possible. We got good results. No EVP’s yet
recorded. A fantastic place with lots of different locations, we
especially liked the offices, a very spooky building that looked like a
lunatic asylum upstairs with its long corridor!
We are very keen to return and have just managed to secure an
investigation here on the 13th February next year, the weather will be
colder but I’m sure there is a lot more here to discover!!!
