The Investigation

19.30 Core team arrive. Begin set-up.

20.30 During the talk, Tarnia writes “While the talk was taking place I went out into the hall to say a prayer of protection when I felt a strong pressure on my left wrist as though I was being restrained. Then I saw a group of men jump onto the person being restrained. It felt like a sword or gun being held.

21.00 Begin tour. Tarnia can sense a group of men in the hallway. They are thuggish and not wanted here. The first room we go into feels to Tarnia like an inquisition room, where people were questioned maybe? Tarnia was also pushed back through the doorway.

Whilst in the lower room a guest felt pain behind the ears and down the neck. Emma H takes 2 or 3 photos of the big painting but one is completely blank despite the flash going off.

21.20 A guest experienced what felt like a wobbly floor, almost like a boat, whilst standing still. Emma H and Rob also get this feeling on the top floor. Lyneth felt vibrations in her fillings and forehead (third eye).

Three strange noises are heard when Rob and Emma H are stood outside the kitchen. Investigated but cannot find a cause.

21.23 Kyle felt a shiver and very cold, starting to shake and then it faded. The ladies in the room sense something nearby.

21.30 Emma P experiences her hairs stand up on end. (Unclear where she was at this time)

21.45 Ktreana and Ade are upstairs with Tarnia in the unsafe room and the cupboard door opens by itself.

21.50 Mike and Mel stepped into the room by the organ and heard 2 bangs. Mike got the name Edward.

22.00 Emma P and Rosie are on the top floor landing. They report a feeling of disorientation, they also find it hard to breathe and both experience racing heart beats.

22.18 Countless orbs reported on the CCTV on the stairs but none when people are moving up an down them

22.20 Emma P and Rosie hear footsteps on the steps outside the condemned room. Orbs are reported on the CCTV on the stairs at this time. Tingly feeling and very cold in the room at the top of the spiral staircase. CCTV camera set up in the dining room goes out.

22.23 CCTV camera picks up something moving on the stairs, and then it disappears.

22.25 A tapping noise is heard in Ann’s Room. Rob was sat in front of the dresser in the big table room, a click was heard and the door on the dresser was open. Others confirmed the dresser door was definitely closed before, but we have checked photos and cannot find anything to verify this.

Tarnia senses a man walking round the room. Becky uses the EMF meter but gets no results.

22.27 CCTV captures orb travelling up the stairs.

22.30 Flashes were seen outside a door of Ann’s Room photos were taken but nothing reported. Footsteps were then heard. Jo checked and no-one was there, on this floor, at the same time. This was also reported by Ktreana and Ade aswell but their flashes of light were reported around the outside of the window.

22.32 CCTV captures a very small light in very centre of stairs.

22.40 During 20 min vigil Emma H and Rob both experienced a sharp pain in the forehead whilst sat in top front ‘box’.

22.41 Large orb floats from left hand side of the screen towards the middle and then drifts down. Movement seen on stairs. (all caught on the CCTV)

22.43 Orb moves across the top of the stairs.

22.45 Everyone in one particular room felt a chill pass across them (unclear which room). Lyneth was sat with a crystal and it began to move wildly. Kyle saw a small flicker of light above the statues head whilst in the room with the long table. This was also reported by other members of the group at the same time.

22.47 Small light anomalie flickers through middle of CCTV screen – then large orb floats past. Followed by 2 more large orbs a minute later.

22.50 Ktreana and Ade heard a series of short rasping breathes in Ann’s Room.

22.52 In dining room. Dave sits at the head of the table, he sees a religious man. Lizzie sees light anomalies above Dave’s head.

23.00 Dave and Chris heard growling or snoring in the cupboard in the picture room. Mike and Mel held a vigil in the top floor room and felt vibrations and various cold spells. They attempted table-tipping and the table moved slightly. A bang was heard on the door to the room; they investigated outside, definitely no-one up on that floor with them. A noise was heard, sounded like a scuffle to Mike but breathing to Mel.

23.10 In Anne’s room with Tarnia, Becky gets some orbs on her night vision video camera. Gets cold. Try table-tipping and there is slight movement. Tarnia can sense a male energy at the door but he is not welcome. A young female is also in the room. Tarnia senses the names, Anne, Elizabeth, Baxter and the years 1628, 1631, 1613. Tarnia warns off the man. Melissa feels sick. Emma H’s chair is kicked or tapped or nudged, when I take a photo at the exact time (because I could sense something there) there is an orb in the photo next to Emma. Dictaphone is left running but nothing significant can be heard when played back.

23.30 Tapping is heard in the cupboard by Emma P and Rosie (unclear which room).

00.00 Emma P and Rosie are using a crystal and it moves in circles. The

group begins an Ouija Board which Tarnia is not at all happy about but agrees to protect us with her protection spells etc. Mike and Mel went down to the cellar but had no results.

00.16 Bex, Chris, Dave, Adrian and Ben start the Ouija board.

00.23 Still nothing. The group begin to work up the energy by moving the glass in circles and then stop. All 5 feel the glass shudder, twice and then again. Almost like the glass lifted off the table.

00.31 Still quiet so change group to Bex, Dave, Mike, Kirsty and Jo.

00.34 Glass moves.

00.39 Glass moves more.

00.40 Glass moves towards F.

Moves towards Bex and then stops.

Emma’s video camera goes off; my digital camera goes off twice.

Lots of movement from the glass.

00.45 Ktreana and Ade could smell fruit or hot cross buns whilst in the room with the big picture.

Still lots of movement from the glass – Lizzie stands with pendulum over the board and it circles gently.

00.50 Liz and Tarnia move towards Sarcophagus in the corner where lights had been seen earlier. Pendulum swings vigorously in circles. Tarnia says there is definitely someone in the room.

00.53 No further movement – Dave tries with a crystal – nothing.

00.55 Group changes again, Dave, Bex, Liz, Rose and Emma.

01.00 Liz swaps with Tarnia. Tarnia sees a man standing with his arms crossed and tells him to prove he’s there by making the glass move. Bex feels something touch her hand.

01.07 No further results- decide to change rooms.

01.20 Dave, Bex, Emma P, Rose in active room on very top floor next to kitchen. Tarnia can sense a nasty man. The man that was at Anne’s door earlier.

01.26 No movement from glass. Liz’s pendulum swings.

01.52 Anne’s room. – Chris, Adam, Dave and Ben are table-tipping. Unsure of their results.

Becoming a very cold night so we decide to start packing up and head home.

Conclusion

A reasonably quiet night but with some good results. The group was excellent at reporting different experiences etc and so it was interesting to match up the different thing that happened with other people’s accounts and with the CCTV footage and photos etc.

An interesting building with lots of areas and rooms to explore but I don’t think we are in any rush to investigate there again.
