20.00 Arrive at the Priory, unload and begin tour.

20.35 Sarah (me) took photo in dining room and got an orb.

20.40 Tarnia felt like she had walked straight through someone’s energy.

20.55 Been in the school room a while when one of the lights begins to flicker, then goes out and then goes back on again and stays on without flickering. It is probably just a faulty bulb as we have no reason to believe any different but this did not occur again during our investigation.

21.10 Quick meeting. Becky has problems with her equipment and cannot get any of it to work. She jokes with Tarnia and asks her to warn off any spirits that may be tampering with it and Tarnia does so…. Becky’s equipment then begins to work…very strange. Ian takes photo of Becky as she then turns to leave the area and gets 2 orbs in the picture with Becky.

21.25 Chris is stood in the music room and glances up and sees a bright white light by the toilet door.

21.30 Everyone has an hour to wander off and have a good look around before we start the vigils.

Tarnia gets a good orb, again in the Music Room, she also picks up on a little girl with blonde curly hair. Music Box is playing and both Dave’s and Helena’s dowsing rods respond.

21.35 Helena swears she heard just one key played on the piano/harpsichord and her dowsing rods are behaving strangely.

22.00 Ian, Karen, David and Tarnia report hearing movement twice in the cloister area.

22.20 Helena was sat on the throne of office and the door rattled vigorously like someone was trying to get in, when she checked and came out we were all upstairs

22.30 VIGIL 1

Sarah, Becky, Lizzie and Helena all in Nursery. Both Lizzie and Helena begin to communicate using their crystals (pendulums). All of them saw movement by the cot but cot itself did not move. Lizzie saw a white light.

22.30 Dave Chris and Emma are outside by the ornamental garden. A mist and fog is coming in thicker and thicker bringing noises with it (possibly campers).

22.45 In the music room Tarnia, Ian, David and Karen report picking up on a male and female energy. They also report movement in the dining room but no one there.

22.47 Chris etc, moved to Blacksmiths Shed and a banging on a barrel is heard as soon as they arrive but could have been cold air making something creak. Dave investigates to see what could have made the noise within the equipment in the shed.

Another noise is heard from the room out the back and then from outside in the courtyard. A shuffling is also heard in the room next door.

They also heard the same noise again that they heard when they first arrived.

Upon going outside into the courtyard they see strange lights on several occasions coming from the corner. There is a room there so they check through the window to see if anything could have produced the light but there is nothing.

Dave saw a person walk in the outside kitchen area but no one is there.

23.05 Ian, Tarnia, Karen and David report hearing something being thrown in the room where the pottery is.

23.20 Lizzie and Helena heard a giggle. We are the only ones on this floor and upon investigation found no one to be outside.

23.25 In the nursery, there is a cold spot at the head of the bed, there is a definite change of energy here. Becky attempts crystal divination.

23.30 VIGIL 2

23.35 Liz is drawn to a room in the corner of the courtyard, away from the Blacksmiths shed but cannot understand why.

23.40 Chris, Emma and Dave in the music Room, play the music box, it then stops. Dave can sense a man present. Chris calls out. Music box plays again.

00.10 In the Blacksmiths shed, Becky heard the sound of a chair being dragged. Further investigation finds we are the only ones in this area and we are the only people outside at the moment, although there seem to be some noisy campers but we agree they wouldn’t make a noise like a chair dragging (probably one of the enormous spiders in here)

There is suddenly a very horrible nasty feeling about the shed so we decide to leave. Lizzie can sense a man - big black beard, lots of black hair and moustache, blue overalls more modern day than hundreds of years ago.

A jingling is also heard in the courtyard.

00.45 VIGIL 3

01.00 Sarah Becky, Lizzie and Helena in the music room play the music box, get some good orbs but Lizzie can’t pick up on anyone. Very little activity but got some very good orbs on camera.

Chris, Emma and Dave in the David Beckham room hear the floorboards creaking outside the room, but upon investigation no one is there. Noises are then heard coming from within the room. Sounds like a tapping and it is heard several times. It is very possible and very likely the noise is coming from the flat above.

02.00 Table Tipping in the Kitchen.

Tarnia and Lizzie sit at the table and pick up on a Mrs Angel or Engle. A very roly-poly lady. A cook. They can feel a slight vibration through the table but no definite movement. After a few minutes they are joined at the table by Helena and Karen. Very little activity, still very quiet.

02.30 Table Tipping in the Music Room with Becky, Lizzie and Tarnia. Chris, Dave, Karen and David head over to the Gatehouse. Table-tipping again very quiet.

02.45 Join the others in the gatehouse.

03.20 Ouija Board in Dining Room - no activity. Liz and Tarnia do psychic drawing.

04.00 Ouija Board in David Beckham Room (monks room upstairs) a banging is heard outside the room (all the group are together in DB room)

Tarnia moves off to the School Room but again no activity.

04.30 Decide to pack up and head on home.

Conclusion

A very unusually quiet night in general. Still our favourite place. Some activity when we first arrived but then seemed to die off.

Lizzie and Tarnia tested themselves to see if they could pick up on the same sort of thing in different areas. This again worked really well and gave Lizzie a great boost of confidence. Definitely spirits here, looking forward to hopefully a more active night in November.
