Upon arrival, the pub was still open, so we took the opportunity to go down into the cellar for Lizzie and Tarnia's first reactions and feelings of the place.

CELLAR

A spirit lives in here. The further into the area Lizzie and Tarnia got, the more breathless they became. Alot of energy down the right hand side, possibly a vortex. Tunnel maybe leading to a river (to be researched). Stairway where all the doors meet, there is also alot of activity.

Tarnia can pick up on a man 18-19 year sold in rags who stole but only in order to live. The initials J and E come to mind. He would hide in the cellar possibly, pinch something and then go back down.

20.15 Lizzie saw a man in the ladies toilets but he was very faint and walked past and off to the left.

SKITTLE ALLEY

23.05 On entering Tarnia immediately gets a headache.

We examine what staff believe to be a strange ectoplasm type substance on the floor but it is definately snails trail, two members of the core team can clarify this as they have seen it in their front rooms.

23.08 Tarnia gets chest pains – stab wounds.

Definitely feels like there is someone in the room with us but no activity.

Place a bowling ball in a prominent place where it could easily be moved with the minimum of ease but nothing.

23.10 Tarnia can sense a man in the room, he’s in his 40’s and feels cheated he died so young. Becky walks down and Lizzie takes a photo and gets a huge, clear orb.

23.20 Some of the group see a black shadow moving, try to recreate the movement but can’t.

23.25 Tarnia gets a massive orb on her camera

23.38 Lizzies camera pays up and won’t take any photos.

23.32 Tarnia feels a burning in her legs and senses the building on fire. (to be researched)

23.36 Something touches Lizzies back.

23.47 Tarnia is prodded in the back.

23.46 Becky sets up a trigger object and leaves a video camera running and we leave the area.

LOUNGE

Tarnia can feel a male energy – funny hat and smokes a pipe. Sits in the corner but not on the seats that are there now. People in the bar have seen him before but not realised. Tarnia believes the fireplace to be original but cannot understand why its so large for such small place.

DINING ROOM – Upper area

Feels like a very private area, completely detatched from the rest of the pub. A group of men would sit in the corner.

PUBLIC BAR

Tarnia believes this is the area where the man sits and that is what she couldn’t quite understand that didn’t feel right about him sitting in the other room.

LOUNGE

Seance with bar staff

00.00 Footsteps heard upstairs on numerous occasions but there is someone up there. Bar staff are insistent that it couldn’t be them but we are unable to rule that out for sure.

A figure is seen walking passed the window in the Public Bar but unable to rule out a shadow from the main pavement that runs along the front of the pub. It looked like they had walked through the locked gates and towards the back of the pub by walking quickly up the side alley but it wouldn’t be possible because of the locked gates.

Tarnia saw someone actually stood in the Public Bar, and no one else is in the building with us all. Liz and Becky also saw the movement and Lizzie took a photo and got a very faint orb.

Footsteps heard again upstairs, but definately someone up there as they come down a few minutes later.

00.13 trigger Object checked but no movement.

CELLAR

Tarnia and Becky both saw a light in the corner of the room.

Tarnia believes a couple of children came down here to get away from a fire.Liz can pick up on a man who died in an accident down here.

HALLWAY

Tarnia says the energy feels wrong but cannot figure out why (different floor levels don’t make sense)

LADIES

Liz saw a man in here earlier but not anymore

PUBLIC BAR

Tarnia takes a photo of where the man sits and gets an orb

MAIN FRONT DOOR PORCHWAY

Can smell burning in between the 2 doorways

Call out but no response.

00.35 Noises heard in Public Bar – whole group heard

00.41 More noises and banging heard upstairs – Tarnia heard a groan

00.44 Becky saw an orb float upwards – if a vortex present, orb usually floats up

PUBLIC BAR

00.46 Glass moved behind the bar, either seen or heard by group.

00.55 Landlord sees something in the mirror.

01.00 Seance – table moving, Tarnia picks up on a litttle girl.

01.05 Amy/Sarah little girl, making table move again. She’s upset and Tarnia believes she is looking for her sister- table vibrating – sister died in the fire??

Everyone extremely tired and some a bit too much to drink so pack up for the night.

CONCLUSION

A fantastic building with an intriguing history – need to look into some points. Nothing conclusive. Tarnia certainly picked up on a lot, as did Lizzie.

A few good photos which are on the website, but in general a quiet night in terms of physical activity....too many outside influences that could not be verified.

May return at a later date but not for a while.
