After a very long start disastrous start to the evening we finally got into the tunnels at about 11pm for our first vigil. But not before we met gorgeous Norie from Dark encounters, some others from her team and David Wells (some members had photos taken with him), we gave a tour and had a cup of tea, before starting.

During the tour, at the bottom of the West Tunnel, something frightened Trish but she’s not sure what and David felt something breathe in his ear.

Vigil 1

23.00 North Tunnel – upstairs Team Fear hear a few noises and a whistle

They also experienced back pain. Trish felt heavy headed and was aware of someone behind her when there was no one there.

Something didn't feel right and the group had to leave and then Laura burst into tears for no reason, she felt all the happiness had been taken from her.

23.05 Scuffing feet are heard (unclear by who or where they are) orbs and other light anomalies are caught on Richards camera.

East Tunnel – Kim felt pressure round her neck and possible temperature fluctuations, heavy pressure, feel unwelcome.

West Tunnel – Tarnia picks up on a man named John and Karon picks up the name Daniel.

23.20 Stables – Team trouble ( Angela, Teri, Karen, Percy, Aimee and Shona) Upon entering the stables they heard a growling noise....it turned out to be a horse. Angela and Percy saw what looked like a person lean forward and look up the tunnel. Angela, Percy, Shona nd Aimee also heard a crackling noise behind them. Dave is with them and feels abgry like he wants to snarl, he feels sick and has a headache. Ngela feel something tickle her neck under her scarf and hears a long breath. Dave feels something touch his head. They communicate weel with The General.

Dave sees someone waving or peering round the door, Percy starts to feel very emotional.

23.30 Central Staircase – Lizz sees sparkly lights. There is also a sudden temperature drop. 3 of the group saw a solid light go up and to the left of the West Tunnel entrance. 7ºc at the staircase.

23.42 At the staircase Becky heard someone whisper in her ear when no one was stood next to her. I (Sarah) heard definate movement on the staircase itself. Jamie believes there is someone half way up the stairs, Shnae goes up to check. Ange and Jmaie both saw a figure move across the doorway. Liz felt something brush past her bum.

23.43 Heard noise again on the staircase and also by other members in our group.

Begin calling out but nothing, few good orbs on camera (see website)

23.45 Ruth felt someone move behind her, just about to pull her hair.

VIGIL 2

00.20 East Tunnel – Very strange smell at end of East tunnel.

Kerrie gets fantastic orb. Unusually quiet.

Shane seesa mist mid tunnel and so he walks towards it and gets it on camera. Get 3 really good photos.

Jamie can see an energy building up round the chair – looks like 100’s and 1000’s.

00.30 D Tunnel – Karon uses the Dowsing Rods to get Yes/No answers. Liz heard a noise in her ear – sounded like a zip. Tarnia saw a red light and the outline of a face.

Tarnia, Liz, Carly and Karon all feel a cold breeze. Twinkling lights are seen. Karon used the dowsing rods to locate the spirit and it led her to where the red light was. Picked up on a man in his 50’s. More communication took place and when photos were taken there appeared to be mist and orbs.

00.35 West Tunnel – Angela has a pain and has to sit. She is also very hot whereas Jennie and Teri feel very cold. They can all smell a burning smell. Karen thought she saw someone walk through the room.

Something touched Mandie’s hand and a shimmering was seen by the door. Mandie goes to the Upper West Tunnel and she feels warm, friendly and makes contact. She can feel his hands on her shoulders.

00.44 Dean and Sophie feel the same. Ben couldn’t feel anything. Chris has a turn and feels a slight tingle, something touched his finger.

01.00 A group tried Ouija Board (unclear who who where they were) there was slight movement but nothing for definate.

Ouija Board is conducted downstairs at end of West Tunnel.

Get some good movement and communication is established. (transcript available if required) During their Ouija Board they see dark shadows, the video camera keeps turning off and on for no reason

01.40 North Tunnel _ Tarnia's group Possible orb on camera but other than that nothing.

VIGIL 3

02.05 – Upstairs and outside – Jamie hears drums and can see men in sandy brown shorts and sleeved shirts. Horrible uneasy feeling up here – everyone feels it.

02.25 During Ouija Board 3 of Chris’s group hear a groaning noise.

02.40 West Tunnel upstairs – Everyone present sang White Cliffs of Dover etc. Flashes of light are seen by the stairs that lead back down. Sing some more and twinkly lights are seen. Tarnia can pick up on a man near the stairs in uniform. Members of the group take turn to feel his energy including the film crew that have been following us around all evening for a documentary.

Liz thought someone touched her bum (second time in one evening – I think she’s hoping!) Another flash of light is seen and more twinkling lights.

The goup is very tired and it is getting very cold so we decide to call it a night.

Conclusion

Despite the messy start we didn’t lose anytime at all in the tunnel which was fab. There was a lot of activity especially by Mandies group (now called the Gigglebusters) and i know they are especially looking forward to returning to see if they encounter the same spirits that they communicated with on this occasion.

A special thanks goes to the Sub Aqua club for allowing us to share their room when we had no where to go. despite being booked in there aswell ourselves!!!!

I felt the evenings activity had a different feel to it.

The tunnels seemed so busy and more alive, but I put this down to the number of people who had walked through there on that particular evening. Despite constant activity, the tunnels have always felt almost sleepy before.

Anyway we will return here soon and see what results we get and compare.
